About Aditi Kulkarni

Welcome to my website. I hope you find what you are looking for! I am a counsellor with 9 years of experience. I offer support to individuals, couples as well as in group setting.

For the last five years, I have been working with English-speaking clients from around the world – an experience that has enriched my understanding of cultural intricacies as well as the unique issues that come with moving to a new country. Whether it is depression, anxiety, bereavement, stress, trauma, relationship issues or any other challenge – things are further complicated when these exist on a landscape of acclimatising to a culture, language and city that you are not used to.

I don’t claim to be an expert on international living! Like most of you, I too am figuring out my life and identity in Berlin. And perhaps for this very reason, I am able to offer my clients deep empathy as I support them in their respective journeys.

As a counsellor, I offer you a safe space to explore your deepest fears and insecurities, to put feelings into words and find a way to overcome the confusion. I truly believe that one size does not fit all. My approach to counselling is very collaborative in nature, and the sessions will be shaped to meet your needs and goals.

approach

My aim is to offer you a safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment where you can talk freely, without hesitation. In my practice, I use an integrative approach, drawing primarily from the person-centred therapy, and often include elements of mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, expressive art and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I support clients with challenges related to depression, anxiety, self-esteem, adjustment, work-life balance, body image, relationships, trauma, bereavement and coping with life transitions.

I am here to help you with:

  • gaining insight into your feelings, thoughts and behaviours

  • overcoming self-defeating negative beliefs

  • learning coping strategies

  • building resilience for tackling future challenges

  • improving your relationship with yourself and others
